Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone

Stepping out of your comfort zone is not the easiest thing to do. The older I get the more I continue to step out of my comfort zone. After my trip to Nashville I’ve been asking myself what could have happened if I visited 3 years ago like I wanted to. It made me realize that I need to take bigger steps and stop holding back. You aren’t living life if you aren’t taking chances right? A lot of times we hesitate and question ourselves because we are scared that we are gonna fail or disappoint the ones we love. Don’t doubt yourself, just do it. It is better to live life knowing you tried than to be asking yourself the “What if” questions. “What if people don’t like me?” “What if I can’t financially do it?” “What if I don’t like it?” These are some basic questions we always ask ourselves when it comes to making decisions on moving, starting a new job, starting school and much more. I believe that everything happens for a reason so just choose a path and everything else will fall into place. My decisions continue to change as I get older. We have to step out of our comfort zone, even if it means being alone and thousands of miles away from family. Sometimes that is what is needed to realize that you can make it on your own. Don’t stop until you make it to the top.

Confidence Takes Practice

Sometimes you get a little discouraged seeing all these models who we think are “perfect”. There is no such thing as being  “perfect”. Everyone has flaws no matter what age, size or race you are. Without these flaws I would not be the person I am today. I have always been a girl  who never wore makeup and had a little more meat on her body then most. As I got older I realized that the more comfortable  you are with yourself the happier you will be. A few years ago I would have never worn shorts, tank tops, bathing suits or makeup. I slowly started to wear makeup even though I was not the best at it. As I continued to practice every day I started to get better. Most people always say that you do not need make up to be beautiful but that’s not why most woman wear it. It’s just like another escape for us ladies after a long day to sit in front of the mirror and practice different ways to apply makeup. It is exciting to see how much improvement you make as the years go by.  Makeup, clothes, and shoes are always our toys.  Nothing makes a woman happier then getting dolled up. Confidence takes practice. Love yourself before you can love anyone else. Flaunt what you were blessed with.

Every Tattoo Tells A Story

Don’t judge a book by its cover. A lot of people think that having tattoos make you a bad person but tattoos don’t make choices for people. People make their own choices. I chose to get all my tattoos because they define me and tell a story. When someone looks at my tattoos and ask me questions I can easily explain why I got them. Music will always be a big part of my life. I hope to make a difference in the world through music one day. It helps everyone get through good times and bad times. You don’t need to know how to play an instrument or sing to call yourself an artist. We are all artists in different ways and in different industries. I don’t regret making the decision to get my tattoos and I am gonna continue to tell a story no matter what people think. Let’s make a difference in the world.

Music Monday

Happy Monday! What are your top 5 songs that helps you get through your Mondays? I’m gonna make this a daily Monday thing. I’m gonna post my top 5 songs of the week. I’d like to hear what everyone’s #musicmonday list!

1. Family First – Woe, Is Me

I did get this song tattooed around my wrist

” Every dream begins with a dreamer”

2. With Ears To See and Eyes To Hear (acoustic) – Sleeping with Sirens

For some reason I like acoustic versions a lot better. I think it’s cause i can hear what they can do with their voices more.

‘True friends lie underneath,
These witty words I don’t believe
I can’t believe a damn thing they say anymore
Lie! Liar, you’ll pay for your sins”

3.  Burnin’ It Down – Jason Aldean
Yes, I love country too! There’s talent in every genre of music. There isn’t only one genre you can call “good” music! If you wanna be in the music industry you have to open up to other genres.
“We’re just hanging around Burnin; it down”
4. Just Keep Breathing – We The Kings
This is another song I got tattooed one me. I think that this is a beautiful song and if you’re ever going through tough times lay down and blast this song. It’ll help you forget everything.
“When heaven seems so far away
And dreams are just a memory
Without the dark the light won’t show
Remember that you’re not alone”
5.  Three Cheers For Five Years – Mayday Parade
Mayday Parade will always be my favorite band. I love every song of theirs. I feel like all their songs remind me of a lot things.
“Too late, I’m sure and lonely
Another night, another dream wasted on you
Just be here now against me
You know the words, so sing along for me, baby”
