Past or Future?

The other day someone asked me if I had the chance to would I go back to the past or jump to the future? Honestly, I would choose to go to the future. Even if I could go back to the past to do things differently, I feel like whatever I’m trying to change still won’t work out. Things happen for a reason and no matter how many different times you try to change things there is a reason why it didn’t work out in the first place. If I could go to the future I will be able to see if I am currently making the right decisions now to get to where I want to be in life. I am truly blessed to have experienced so much in the past. I do not regret one moment even when I felt like giving up. All the bumps in life are what make me the strong person I am today. Giving up won’t help you become successful. Keep pushing and don’t look back to the past and think what if I did this differently? Look to the future and make the changes now, in the present. Choose the life you want to live. You can choose who and what you want to be in your future. Keep your head up and never give up. So let me ask you, if you had to choose, would you go back to the past or go to the future?

“Focus On The Positive”

Smile

It is crazy how life works. You can’t predict the future. Everything can be great but it only takes one thing to make you feel like your whole life is falling apart. What really matters is your attitude and the way you handle life.  You never know what could happen tomorrow. Whether it’s good or bad I believe that everything happens for a reason and you should always stay positive. Every morning I wake up feeling thankful. Thankful that I get to wake up in a warm house. Blessed that I have a job and a car. Blessed with amazing friends and family. Sometimes all we think about is what we want and not what we have already. So when you’re having a bad day just stop and think about all the good things you have in life. Always appreciate the little things people do for you. Don’t forget to let the people you care about know that you love them. Take a minute to say hi to someone you walk by. You never know what that person is going through. Even a smile could make a difference in a stranger’s life. Let’s start spreading a positive energy. You can make a difference. Be the change.

Confidence Takes Practice

n

Sometimes you get a little discouraged seeing all these models who we think are “perfect”. There is no such thing as being  “perfect”. Everyone has flaws no matter what age, size or race you are. Without these flaws I would not be the person I am today. I have always been a girl  who never wore makeup and had a little more meat on her body then most. As I got older I realized that the more comfortable  you are with yourself the happier you will be. A few years ago I would have never worn shorts, tank tops, bathing suits or makeup. I slowly started to wear makeup even though I was not the best at it. As I continued to practice every day I started to get better. Most people always say that you do not need make up to be beautiful but that’s not why most woman wear it. It’s just like another escape for us ladies after a long day to sit in front of the mirror and practice different ways to apply makeup. It is exciting to see how much improvement you make as the years go by.  Makeup, clothes, and shoes are always our toys.  Nothing makes a woman happier then getting dolled up. Confidence takes practice. Love yourself before you can love anyone else. Flaunt what you were blessed with.

Love Yourself First And Everything Else Will Fall Into Line.

The moment you become comfortable in your own skin will be the moment you realize that life is easier. It is hard to not let what others have to say affect the decisions you make, but  just remember that they are not the ones walking in your shoes. People will continue to judge you by what they see and hear no matter what. That should never be the reason why you are holding back  from doing what is best for YOUR future. Show the world what you have to offer. Do not let anything or anyone get in the way of pursuing your dreams. We are all creative, unique, smart, and beautiful in our own way. Sometimes it is hard to branch out and try new things because you are scared of what is going to happen, but life is too short to sit around and wait for things to eventually happen.  Go out there and experience things on your own. You will never find out what is best for you if you sit around and wait. Have fun and explore the world. We have to experience it all someday! I know I will next summer. Tamara takes LA! Los Angeles, I cannot wait for you to be my new home! 🙂 It has been a while since I have blogged, but I will be back at it!

“Those who don’t jump will never fly.”

2015 is the year I decided to finally try new things. The two things that I’m really into are Music and Fashion. My sister and I decided that we would do our first photo shoot to show off our different styles. Even though we weren’t that comfortable in front of the camera we did it anyways. How else will you learn and be confident with things? Looking forward to doing more shoots. The photographer Michael did an amazing job. It was a great first experience. You can find his work on Instagram: @kelotian Thank for you for all the love, support, and encouragement. I couldn’t ask for better family and friends.

Life will always throw you curve balls. The way you let these curve balls affect your life shows what kind of person you are. If you’re unhappy then do something about it. The decisions you make in life should be for yourself. No one else can control your life or your happiness. Just because someone doesn’t agree with the decisions you make or support you doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do what’s best for you. Always listen to your heart because it always knows what’s right. People will come in and out of  your life but the ones who truly matter will always stay in your life. People will always have something to say about you whether it’s good or not. Who cares? People will be a lot happier if they didn’t care about what people have to say. What others have to say should never matter as long as you are happy and you are doing what’s best for you. Don’t stop until you make it to the top. Keep doing what you’re doing and worry about yourself. Be positive and positive things will come your way. The only way things will change in your life if you do something about it. Things don’t magically happen so be thankful for what you have and if you’re not happy then something needs to change. Happy Holidays 🙂

Every Tattoo Tells A Story

2015/01/img_4275-0.jpg
Don’t judge a book by its cover. A lot of people think that having tattoos make you a bad person but tattoos don’t make choices for people. People make their own choices. I chose to get all my tattoos because they define me and tell a story. When someone looks at my tattoos and ask me questions I can easily explain why I got them. Music will always be a big part of my life. I hope to make a difference in the world through music one day. It helps everyone get through good times and bad times. You don’t need to know how to play an instrument or sing to call yourself an artist. We are all artists in different ways and in different industries. I don’t regret making the decision to get my tattoos and I am gonna continue to tell a story no matter what people think. Let’s make a difference in the world.
